Sent it to my grandson, age eight, who had just done a Save the Penguins fund raiser for this birthday. He really enjoyed wearing it for Halloween.
Best Costume yet
Arrived when they said it would and looked just like it did online. The best part is that everyone at my daughter's school was completely "wow-ed" by the costume. She still wears it around the house for pretending - it's comfortable and holding up very well.
Not as pictured
This costume does not come down to a child's ankles as pictured which was pretty dissapointing for my 8 year old son. The sizing on this should accomodate his age as he's average in height. We specifically selected this one for that feature versus others depicted as only coming to just past his knees. We've had to go out and buy black sweatpants to make up the difference where the costume ends and the feet begin. Honestly, I can't be bothered to send it back and figure out if the next one we'd order would be as depicted so we've kept it. Halloween is for one night, and the time and energy to hold the distributor accountable for inaccurate advertising is just too annoying to tackle. The fabric is what was described, polyester and a little spongy but given the coolness of Eastern NY this will accomodate a warm layer beneath. If you aren't concerned w/ the length then this is fine, should last for a few wearings but that's the degree to which I would recommend.
