This costume is well made and very durable, but around the shoulder size has problem.
Boy doesn't much care about the shoulder's problem. My son is pretty skinny, but it doesn't fit around the shoulder part. Mask is excellent, so my son likes it very much.
Belt is pretty good.
It can be seperate to wear whenever my son wants to wear for being cowboy, Ninja or anything.My son loved it, needed some adjustments
I was impressed with the quality and durability of this costume. The helmet was MUCH better than a face mask, and so it was worth the extra money for this version of the costume. I did need to add elastic straps to the boot covers in order to keep them on my son's shoes. I also needed to rig the belt because it was soooo huge (I simply used pipe cleaners to hold a "fold" in the belt). I needed to mend a small hole in the crotch of the costume. Finally, I needed to add some padding to the inside of the helmet to keep it from rotating on his head and I cut out part of the clear plastic over the eyes so that he could see clearly. I have 2 rough and rowdy boys, these guns have lasted for 2 years already!! After much abuse one of them hanked the pump handle off but the gun still provides plenty of fun imaginary play time. I know some of you are wondering why I gave it a high educational rating, well, we have used all the toy guns in our house to teach PRoPER use of guns, and gun saftey. To start the company sent me the wrong costume, I had to return it and wait for the right one, again the second time they sent me a similar one but not the one I asked for. They sent me a costume that has a pump that gives (fake) blood to the chest, instead the one I asked gave blood to the head. It was too late to return it again.
After that my son wore it and the pump pierced so there was red food coloring everywhere, in his clothes, hands.
I do not recommend to buy costumes from that store. Sorry.Fun costume, but does not come with the weapon.

I bought this for my 4 year old for Halloween. He loves pirates and this was an inexpensive costume. You basically get what you pay for. The costume is thin and living in a cool climate I had to layer clothes underneath. The hat is pretty lame. It is flimsy and simply fabric...nothing really to keep its shape. My son did love the costume and thought he was a pretty cool pirate so I have to give it some credit. The legs were long for a 4 year old and I had to roll the waist so he wouldn't keep on stepping on the legs. It washed in the washing machine and dried in the dryer just fine so that is a bonus. If you are looking for something that is good quality though you will want to skip this.Cute but...

It is the worst type of throw-away Halloween costume and the colors are absolutely horrible. I am writing this review to warn buyers from Totally Costumes. that is doing a bait-and-switch. If you get this pictured costume from another buyer, and you actually get it, then it might be as cute as it looks in the pic. I order this costume for my oldest son and I am pleasantly shocked at the quality of this costume. The muscles are padded, not a cardboard or plastic insert like most of the muscle costumes these days which will make for easy washing and the material along with the stitching is of superior quality.
The price was well worth it for the quality of costume we received. The same costume at Wal-Mart was $36.00 and I got it for $19.53 with free shipping so I am very pleased with the price. The material is made from a thicker polyester costume material unlike the thinner polyester that these costumes are typically made from. It is durable enough for everyday play and surprisingly enough, the costume we got with this order was stitched together very well. The velcro was actually double stitched and holds together. Usually I have to safety pin the sections where the velcro attaches because they never hold together but I did not have to do that this time with this costume...Lizard costume

He was amazed to be able to take a history lesson and connect it to someone in his family - even if he never met the man. Part of the assignment was optional - to dress as the character. When I found this on Amazon, I had to get it for him. The material was a little thin so he wore his baseball sliding shorts under the pants and a t-shirt under the top, but the over all look was good. The only...So so

When I bought this item, only one reviewer had mentioned the foul smell of the plastic mask. I thought it might have been a one-time occurrence as the rest of the reviewers had given 4 and 5 stars to this costume. I do not know whether the smell is any indication of toxicity, but I will not take any chances and throw the mask away to the huge disappointment of my grandson, for whom this mean-looking feature is the greatest thing ever in a villain's costume. Now, I will need to find a replacement mask.

My son loves this costume. However, the mask, even this many weeks later is still giving off a terrible smell.Extremely toxic paint!!!!

I ordered this for my son for Halloween. I ordered a large. When it arrived, it was a medium. I returned the wrong size and requested a replacement of a size large. When I received it the second time, it was a medium again. Apparently, someone cannot read. I was very irritated. Ended up having to run to the local store and buy another costume which was not what he wanted, but did not have time to wait for them to ship me the incorrect size yet again. The pants, shoe covers and top were great. The headpiece was way too loose and it moved around a lot. In addition, it looks like it doesn't have any hair, so we had to buy a separate wig and try to give it a Frankenstein haircut. This was delivered fast, fast, fast to our house. As soon as the company got the order, it was shipped out the same day. I purchased it last year for my 9 year old. He will ONLY do scary. I made him a wonderful dalmatian costume for kindergarten and he cried and pitched a fit because it wasn't a scary costume. Learned my lesson after that. It's been scary ever since. This one fit the bill for him. With a little make-up under the eyes and on his lips, he was ready to go! He loved it. As costumes go, they are all made out of the same fabric, but knowing this I still think this was worth it.You get what you pay for.
The costume runs big, the large was much to big for my tall 8 year old. It's worth the price if its only going to be worn once. The shoe covers look cool for a while, but do not last the entire trick or treating event since the elastic is very thin and easily broken. Wig is very cool, lots of compliments on that. The jacket makes the child look like he has huge shoulders which is great, but when it's too big, its uncomfortable.
