I got the medium size for my 9 year old. it fit perfectly and looked so cute. it is made of good quality fabric. not too tick. light weight.
King Julien costume
This step-in costume has a narrow fit (best for those on the small or scrawny side; the cut might look weird on a chubbier kids) and a single velcro closure at the back of the neck. The crown/hat has a velcro closure around the neck. The fabric is kind of fuzzy, so the velcro closures attach to the legs, sleeves, tail, etc. very easily and can frustrate little ones who want to put the costume on without assistance. The crown doesn't stand up like in the photo, and is sewn onto the cap in only 2 places, so you might want to put something inside to prop it up before you add a stitch or two to secure it in place. That said, my son LOVES this costume. It IS King Julien. He recognized it as soon as it was taken out of the package and requests (demands) to wear it every. single. day. For those of you familiar with King Julien: Yes, it is easy to dance in.
