My son ordered this costume for a project for school that was a book report over the book Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. The costume was well made and had a lot of detail. The details in the coat and vest are printed on the fabric, while the hat had actual trim, not print. He had to add his own pants and shoes to the two- piece costume. He was going to use this same costume for trick or treating on Halloween, but found the costume to be "itchy" so he did not wear it. I tried on the costume myself to see if he was just being too senstive. The edges of the foam on the vest portion were somewhat scratchy. It might have been the glue used to seal off the foam. I was more disappointed in my son's choice not to wear the costume, than I was in my purchase. I did understand his discomfort though since I experienced it myself.
Good Purchase
Coat fit a little big, hat a little small for 8 year old son who wears size 8 to 10 boys. Loved his Christmas present though, worth the price.
Good costume for kids
This is a good costume for kids and my six year old loved it. It is fairly well made. I would recommend it for general playing and dress up time.
