Worth it
Got this for my 5 year old daughter who is going through a ninja phase. It's thin cheap polyester as expected but she loves it. We think this basic black ninja costume is far cooler than the ones with colorful flair and designs on them. She's an assassin, dammit, not a Broadway show extra.

Well worth the money - great Halloween costume
My husband was playing a computer game called "Many Ninjas" in the evenings after dinner while our 4-year-old twin daughters sat in his lap last October, and the result was an infatuation with ninjas while picking out costumes. This product was exactly what we wanted: A very simple black ninja, with just a few nice details to make it look like more than black pajamas. Tieing the strings around the lower legs and arms takes a little extra effort, but it gives the outfit an certain look that makes the costume feel a touch more authentic (although the material is definitely modern and not authentic in the slightest!) - and the same is true of the face mask and belt. Note that the sword is not part of the costume. The material is adequately durable, light-weight, and comfortable. Your kids will have no trouble wearing this over their normal clothes while trick-or-treating, or while playing dress-up afterward. While I don't think the costume would hold up to lots of aggressive play...

Ninja costume just what my son ordered!
This Ninja costume was exactly what we were expecting. My son loves it and wore it for Halloween and for play. It didn't hold up very well in the wash, even though I didn't dry it. But it wasn't an expensive costume so we weren't expecting anything super durable. It fits well and is perfect for a child's play.
